FAQ

Welcome to the Precision Physical Therapy & Performance Training FAQ!

We know you may have questions about starting physical therapy, our recovery sessions, what to expect during treatment, and how our treatment approach can make a difference in your recovery.

  • What Conditions Do You Treat?
We treat a wide variety of orthopedic related injuries such as neck pain, back pain, shoulder pain, hip pain, pelvic pain, knee pain, ankle pain, elbow pain, etc. If you have questions about a specific diagnosis and our approach to treatment, call 615-900-4856 to speak with Dr. Jess.
  • What Type of Treatments Do You Provide?
During our physical therapy sessions you can expect to be treated with a variety of different techniques including manual therapy, soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization, Graston therapy, cupping, dry needling, and more. Hands on techniques are paired with specific exercises aimed at treating the root cause of your pain. Dr. Jess prioritizes manual therapy but also implements carefully chosen therapeutic exercises when appropriate.
  • What Should I Expect During My First Visit?
You can expect a 60 minute, one-on-one evaluation with Dr. Jess. She will perform a detailed full body assessment and determine the root cause(s) of your pain. Once she has determined the root cause(s) of your pain, she will begin treatment. She believes that once we figure out the source of your pain, there is no reason not to begin treatment on your first visit. After your evaluation, she will send you a detailed summary of her findings and highlight the steps needed to get you pain free as fast as possible. Each patient will receive a customized plan of care specific to their case.
  • Do I Need a Referral To See You?
No, in the state of TN, you are not required to have a referral from a physician to see a physical therapist. This allows you to directly access our personalized care and innovative techniques without any delays.
  • What Is A RECOVERY SESSION?
Our recovery sessions are for athletes and active individuals who do not have an injury right now, but are looking to provide their body with much needed R&R. These sessions are 30 minutes long and include services such as cupping, compression therapy, percussion therapy, and stretching. These sessions are not intended for individuals with an active injury. For our middle school & high school athletes we offer a RECOVERY BUDDY program. During this program your athlete and a friend are able to come in together and receive treatment at the same time. This aids in accountability and allows for a more fun treatment environment.
  • How Do I Schedule An Appointment?
To schedule your first appointment, call/text 615-900-4856 and we will be able to get you on the books. If you would like to schedule a free Discovery Call, fill out the Contact Information on our home page and Dr. Jess will be able to set up a 15 minute call to discuss your injury and if Precision is a good fit for you.
